Meeting Marlowe...part 2

Grr everybody, I'm feeling bad that Marlowe isn't sharing his pictures at the same time as I am. I hope he's okay, still no answers to emails.  :(

Continuing our exploration of the park during my visit with Marlowe,
I spied a small pond.

Do you see it? Don't feel bad if you don't, I bearly saw it beyond all that tall grass. Haha, and I was there! No really, mom was just afraid I'd get lost in all that tall grass.
These little yellow flowers were everywhere. They weren't the typical dandy yellow flowers I'm used to seeing. I asked Marlowe what kind they were.
He told me they were Birds-foot-trefoil. I came home and looked them up here.
Scruffy reminded me that we brought gifts for Marlowe. Some honey, a package of sour gummy worms, a snack container of Honey Teddy Grahams (Scruffy is sitting on them). Oh, and I almost forgot, the cool little purple zip bag/ keyring my mom made for Marlowe's mom.
Marlowe gave us several postcards from his mom's photography Etsy shop. She is a beary good photographer, take a look in her store.
Now, let's see what's in the package with the big yellow flowers.
Wow, it's a wooden 3-d horse puzzle! I love puzzles, this looks challenging. Thanks a lot Marlowe.

Marlowe and I posed for pictures with our moms. Sorry, I can't show you that one, because I couldn't finalize an okay from Marlowe's Mom.

Scruffy and I said our goodbyes to Marlowe and his mom.
We posed for one last souvenir picture at the park. Can you believe it? Marlowe lives in Marloweville, haha!
Hey, wait, what's that on the windshield? It's rain!
I haven't seen rain for so long, I kind of forgot what it looked like.
We had a great time meeting Marlowe and his mom. So glad the rain waited till we were on our way back to where we were staying.

Next time, my trip home from Wisconsin.

Grr-bye for now,

Looks like you guys had fun! I am going to meet Beanie Mouse in Brighton in August... but I don't think mice like honey so... might have to bring some sunflower seeds instead!

Beary Awesome photos Buttons! We were way down in Southern Wisconsin for a few days, and it was really dry there. I hope they get rain soon!

We did have a great time. It is beary beary dry here in Illinois too. I actually think where Marlowe lives they have had more rain then we have. The weatherman says we are in a drought. :(

It's so cool you got to meet each other!

Yes, northern WI and where we currently are, in Minneaolis, has more rain and the grass is still greenish. I think the famers down where you are are hurting and may loose their crops--Jerry is worried about the honey crop!

Tell Jerry that the bees are beary busy buzzing in our backyard flower garden. Now if we can just find their stash...

Illinois has officially been declared to be in drought, with varying degrees of drought. We need 9 - 11 inches of rain to catch-up just not all at once.

It's too bad we can't share our weather... we have had lots of rain here and could send some south of the border. I don't think it would go well through the mail though.
