My bear-cation...

I got back recently from a brief bear-cation. I've just been looking over brochures for the places we didn't go.
Some of the other bears in my hug are pea green with envy. I don't know why, 16 hours straight in a car is not exactly all fun for a bear.

I'm ok...you OK? Durant, OK
Could it be my new T-shirt? Durant is indicated by the red spot just above the K in OK.  (click on the photo to make it bigger) Now, I could understand the other bears being upset if I'd come home with a cowbear hat, but that didn't happen.

We drove rode along with friends to Durant Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. P.,  my mom and dad were attending a wedding of a friends daughter. Here are some of my photos of the trip.
I watched a movie with mom, it was beary hard to see because it was so bright in the car, even though it was a cloudy dreary day.
Ahhh, there it is the sign for St. Louis. Do you see the arch?
We are crossing the great Mississippi River, from Illinois into Missouri.
Finally, some blue skies and sunshine with pretty clouds.
Sunset in Oklahoma, we still had an hour and a half drive south to go.
My whole hug could fit in this bed. I really wanted to climb the headboard, but I was too tired.  I was exhausted, we'd driven straight through, 16 hours including stops...yawn...zzzzz.

More of my trip soon.

Grr-bye for now,

Buttons

That looks like a good start, even if that seems like a very long car ride.

(You can get cow-bear hats at Build-a-Bear. I have one to go with my cow-bear boots!)

I love your new T-shirt Buttons! That's a looooong trip, bear-oh-bear. At least you could watch a movie, we couldn't do that on our family's long trips back in the '70s!

Thanks for sharing,
A.C.

P.S. Did you see we opened a new store? We're reselling Christian school curriculum! There are several great books about bears...
