The floods come up...

Just a quick word, we are doing a massive clean-up this week. We had some flooding and sewer back-up in our basement with last Friday nights storms. Saturday morning I spent comforting some of the bears, and one hare.

The rest of my Bear-thday...

THANKS everyone for all the nice comments and bearthday wishes you left me. Let's see now, I was just getting to my presents and cards in my last post. Of course, in getting to them I dumped my cake. I was so anxious to get to my presents, mom said I could have another one later.
First I opened one from the guys.

My Bearthday...

Well may Bear-thday has finally arrived! YAY!!! This is the first time I am actually getting a party. You can read about why here.

My day started with a singing phone call from my grandma, this is a tradition of which I have never been the recipient. Grandma apologized saying she and grandpa wouldn't be able to attend my party. She said she'd be taking care of my grandpa, he discovered yesterday he has a case of shingles. I was confused by this, as I thought you put those on your roof, and I know for a fact that grandma doesn't allow him to go up there anymore.  That was sad news on top of the fact that my Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Pete couldn't come either.
So only bears and mom and dad came to my party. Ahh, but on with the party.

Teddy Bear Picnic...

Last Saturday I was putting a little reminder for my bearthday on the calender. In case you hadn't noticed, I recently put a count down reminder here on my blog. Mom & dad have a tendency to forget.

I noticed that it was Teddy Bear Picnic Day, so I asked mom if we could have one.

Strike up the band...

I know I'm late, sorry, but I trust everyone had a great 4th of July! A few pictures from mine.

Strike up the band, we would have if we'd had one. Tell me, what bear doesn't love a parade? Some of the patriotic dressed bears decided to have a parade.
