Teddy Bear Picnic...

Last Saturday I was putting a little reminder for my bearthday on the calender. In case you hadn't noticed, I recently put a count down reminder here on my blog. Mom & dad have a tendency to forget.

I noticed that it was Teddy Bear Picnic Day, so I asked mom if we could have one.
She said yes and suggested I invite David Bear from the curio cabinet, she said he knew the song by heart.
We got some delicious Meyer Lemon Cookies from Trader Joes. Mom washed us some green grapes and some of the cherries Brother T. brought back from Michigan. We headed outside to have our picnic.
Cocoa brought some honey to put on our cookies, he was worried there wouldn't be enough.
So Scruffy snooped in the pantry and found a new bottle of the sacred "H".
Buster asked David Bear to sing the Teddy Bear's Picnic song. David said he would, but that I would have to help him.

So I leaned over and wound him up and we all listened.
He really gets into the tune, he moves his head while he plays. Amazing he still moves like that, he is a beary old bear. Mom has had him since 1968.

Speaking of being older, remember I said my Bearthday is on Saturday, (can't wait!) It is the second anniversary of my 8th bearthday plus 3. I think Marlowe and Bob T. Bear are right, it's easier just being 8 again. Hope you will stop by for a piece of cake.

Well grr-bye for now,

Buttons

That looks like a very nice picnic! I have my birthday today , so we almost have the same birthday! We don't know how old I am so we decided to light a lot of candles, just because we wanted to and liked it! Hope you have a nice day!

Hi Buttons! I'll jump on the bandwagon and wish you a happy early birthday as well (not that I'll have forgotten come Saturday, of course). You shouldn't worry about aging at all. As someone great once said, you're only old once!

It indeed looks like a great time was had by all the picnic-goers. I think you've made me hungry for some fresh grapes of my own! :)
