After mom took her medicine we got started.
I helped measure the oats, the sugar and
the cottage cheese, mom, for some reason wouldn't let me crack the eggs. She said she didn't want me to get gooey paws. Anyway, for these pancakes you just measure everything out and dump it in the blender.
Then it's always beary important to keep one paw on the lid, just in case.
In a few minutes the batter is ready. Now because the next part requires fire and a hot griddle pan
I could only watch from a safe distance. Hee hee, mom's making me a special bearcake!
While waiting, I helped get the syrup ready to heat in microwave.
I can't wait, it looks sooo good!
Yum, yum! If you want to try these delicious pancakes here is the recipe:
Cottage Cheese Pancakes
1 egg plus 2 egg whites
1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup old fashioned Oat Meal
1 T. sugar
Dash of vanilla
Blend in blender until smooth.
Bake at 350 degrees on griddle
2 = 83 cal. - 2 gram. fat - 5 gram protein 12 gram. carb.
We made a double batch, but we didn't double the sugar and they were just fine. Mom says you could leave the sugar out completely, but they won't brown as nicely. Hope you will try and enjoy them.
Grr-bye for now,
