Blog-a-versary and my aunt...

I have been in the blog-a-sphere for a whole year!!! Yay!!! Of course, true to form, my blog assistant and I missed posting on the exact annibearsary.

In honor of my one year, I'd like to share an accomplishment of one of my favorite peeps, my Aunt Cheryl. She's a writer, but not just a regular writer,  she's a ghost writer. Woooo... it sounded scary to me till A.C., I call her A.C., explained it doesn't mean she writes scary books. She told me it means she helps other people write their books. Well, she has just written a book of her own, she brought one along several weeks ago when we celebrated her bearthday.
You can read more
about her book "Sweet Lips" on her website. If you click her shop tab you can see her books that are available. There are also a few written by people she knows.

Now I'll share some of the photos from that evening.

Scruffy and I had to help shield the sun from shining in my Uncle Pete's eyes.

Scruffy was pretending to be a ghost bear, he thought he was invisible.

We had a yummy Derby pie for A.C.'s bearthday dinner. Scruffy and I supervised the cutting and serving of the pie.
Guess who gets the biggest piece? Yum!

Scruffy and me watching Aunt Cheryl blow out her bearthday pie.
Do you like my hat?
Or  this one?

That Scruffy! Grrrr!
As part of A.C.'s present, mom made a rope bowl on her sewing machine. For the other part of her gift

roll-ups for her silverware. Mom made them with special fabric inside to prevent tarnishing and she made labels for each roll-up.

Well grr-bye for now,

Buttons

I like your sweater-- it looks very warm! And the pie looks awfully good too!

I think I have convinced Mom to get some of her photos printed out and we will make them into postcards and the sort-- so you will get a postcard soon!

We didn't know you can sew rope. Of course, with our Mommy we don't know much about sewing at all. Kehehehehe
