A Bear's Travels...

The other day my Aunt Cheryl brought my grandma for a visit from New Hampshire.
I went to A.C.'s to greet them. Grandma was happy to see me. I knew my cousin Bunky was suppose to come with them. But I didn't see him anywhere, finally I asked A.C. where he was? She told me I had to let him tell his story. So, what could I say...he had cell phone pictures!

When little bears get ideas...

This picture surfaced while mom was scanning photos. I think it's from 2000.
Before we had a digital camera, we had a BearPaw 1200 scanner. Being a bear, with a paw thought I'd try it out.

I'm in a pant-cape daze...

I answered Bob T . Bears' call for pant-cape photos, you may have seen them on his blog. We celebrated by jumping off the furniture at A.C. and U.P.'s. By the way Bob, jumping off doors is way braver than furniture.
I'm ready, I've got my pant-cape on...

Hibearnation news and admirers...

Grr-morning all,

This morning I found an email from my Chicago Bear friend Braxton. I must insert a disclaimer here.
He is not a membear of "The Chicago Bears - NFL team", but he is a bear, and he does live in Chicago with other bears.
I won't be able to tell you all of their names, I don't think I have met them all, but some of them have visited me and appeared here on my blog. That's Braxton (down front with his paw in the air), Benzer (directly behind him), Lisle and Brooks (2nd and 3rd from the L), Pittsbeargh (center with open mouth), Braeden (to R of Pittsbeargh in sweater), my bro Scruffy, next to him is Bulleit (back row) My apologies to the bears I missed and for the black spot, the lamp and it's reflection were too distracting. Now back to the email...

Snow Day...

This is what I awoke to on Ground Hogs Day. Any ground hogs around here had to dig their way out.In the morning I looked out the bedroom window.

there were drifts everywhere.

Do you like games?

Thank-you for all of your condolence hugs and messages. I've been trying to find quiet things to occupy our days. The other day, I decided we needed some fun. I got out one of my Christmas presents.
It was a good day to play my new game Farkel. Barnsie, Scruffy and Barnes all said they wanted to play.

Christmas makings and sad news...

Still catching up on sharing my Christmas. One posting after this one to finally be caught up. At the end of this installment I have some very sad news to share.
I rushed home from my Christmas shopping trip to watch mom make some chocolate peanut clusters with Cocoa. Mom made us sit back, she wanted us to avoid chocolate paws. While we were drooling over the chocolate smell I could hear mom's embroidery machine running upstairs.

A Bearsonal Shopper...

Still catching-up on pre-Christmas and Christmas...
I've added Bearsonal Shopper to my resume. I went Christmas shopping and errand running with dad.
I know, I know, I don't have my seat belt on, we weren't moving yet. I am a safety minded bear.

Christmas Blow-ups...

Thought I'd post some photos from my busy pre-Christmas and Christmas activities in two or three installments.
One day I checked out the huge inflatable display down the street.

While we waited for Christmas...

While waiting for Christmas
I read the Christmas story to Barnes and Rusty from my favorite Christmas book.
I checked on my favorite nativity.

Wishing you all Merry Christmas.

The book:
The Backyard Bears Present The Story of Christmas by Karen Schuler

I'll be back soon, I have so much to tell.

Grr-bye for now,
Buttons

Lots of pounding and zinging...

The day before Thanksgiving I head noises out front. I took a quick look out the sewing room window and this is what I saw.
A great big cement truck. I ran to look out the bedroom window and this is what I saw.

National Button Day...

Today is National Button Day! I know, I just celebrated Count Your Buttons Day last month. So deciding what to do to mark this auspicious occasion has been difficult.

Sierra Rose suggested I count the buttons on the dress mom just finished making for her.
In this photo there are seven buttons. Do you see them?
Two on the front.

My Own Day, and it's not my Bearday?...

It was brought to my attention by a friend that I had my own special day on the calander this month.
So I checked it out for myself.

Fall Leaf Fun...

Grr, yep, it's been a long time no post, sigh! Today I have something to write about. Since Buster visited us for the weekend. On Saturday I asked our dad if he'd take us to find some fall color. He said he knew just the spot, but we'd have to wait for him in the car after, because he had to go in to his office and work.

First we did a little tree climbing.
