Garden stroll delayed...
I took a garden stroll shortly before the storm that flooded our basement and rained in our ceiling. I've been waiting to share those pictures with you.
These impatients look a little thirsty. Looks like dad needed to mow the grass.
I like this rose color, hummm, they're thirsty too. We sure needed rain.
Well, it looks like the weeds are doing better than the wave petunias. They have been battling to live in spite the rabbits.
Well, grandpaw's birdhouse made it through winter, sort of. Only one apartment is inhabitable.
Look we have a renter, it's a little wren. She's been squawking at me the whole time I've been wandering about the flower bed. I think she is the one the chased the cardinals off. She may sing pretty, but she is a meanie.
The phlox are so tall, I had to climb the fence. These are the flowers that made me want to take a walk around the garden. Our neighbors are getting ready to build a new shed, you can see the forms for the foundation.
I hope you've enjoyed my garden tour.
Well grr-bye for now,

Real Bear Rescues Stuffed Bear From Humans
Hi all,
Things are still a little chaotic here. It's not flooding through the floor drains, the dumpster left this morning. Very early this morning it rained through the ceiling in the bedroom again. So here is a bear story recently sent to me...

The floods come up...
Just a quick word, we are doing a massive clean-up this week. We had some flooding and sewer back-up in our basement with last Friday nights storms. Saturday morning I spent comforting some of the bears, and one hare.
They bearly missed getting wet. They'd have been goners,

THANKS everyone for all the nice comments and bearthday wishes you left me. Let's see now, I was just getting to my presents and cards in my last post. Of course, in getting to them I dumped my cake. I was so anxious to get to my presents, mom said I could have another one later.

My Bearthday...
Well may Bear-thday has finally arrived! YAY!!! This is the first time I am actually getting a party. You can read about why here.
My day started with a singing phone call from my grandma, this is a tradition of which I have never been the recipient. Grandma apologized saying she and grandpa wouldn't be able to attend my party. She said she'd be taking care of my grandpa, he discovered yesterday he has a case of shingles. I was confused by this, as I thought you put those on your roof, and I know for a fact that grandma doesn't allow him to go up there anymore. That was sad news on top of the fact that my Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Pete couldn't come either.
So only bears and mom and dad came to my party. Ahh, but on with the party.

Teddy Bear Picnic...
Last Saturday I was putting a little reminder for my bearthday on the calender. In case you hadn't noticed, I recently put a count down reminder here on my blog. Mom & dad have a tendency to forget.
I noticed that it was Teddy Bear Picnic Day, so I asked mom if we could have one.

Strike up the band...
I know I'm late, sorry, but I trust everyone had a great 4th of July! A few pictures from mine.
Strike up the band, we would have if we'd had one. Tell me, what bear doesn't love a parade? Some of the patriotic dressed bears decided to have a parade.

The rest of my bear-cation...
The next day my mom and her lady friends went to Texas to pick-up the brides dress. Then they got pedicures and did lunch. Things a bear would not be interested in doing, so I went with my dad to explore a little of downtown Durant. Durant Okalahoma is located about 2 hours north of Dallas Texas. Who knew,

My bear-cation...
I got back recently from a brief bear-cation. I've just been looking over brochures for the places we didn't go.
Some of the other bears in my hug are pea green with envy. I don't know why, 16 hours straight in a car is not exactly all fun for a bear.

Our feathered nursery...
I have been so busy checking on the baby robins.
I'm wearing camoflauge, in hopes that Mr. & Mrs. Robin don't see and dive bomb me.

Hi all, I'm reporting to you from the laundry room window sill today. Shhh, I'm trying to be as quite as possible.
I don't want to disturb our newest neighbor, Mrs. Robin, as I check to see if she is in. Sure hope I can watch her from here, let's see.

Blog-a-versary and my aunt...
I have been in the blog-a-sphere for a whole year!!! Yay!!! Of course, true to form, my blog assistant and I missed posting on the exact annibearsary.
In honor of my one year, I'd like to share an accomplishment of one of my favorite peeps, my Aunt Cheryl. She's a writer, but not just a regular writer, she's a ghost writer. Woooo... it sounded scary to me till A.C., I call her A.C., explained it doesn't mean she writes scary books. She told me it means she helps other people write their books. Well, she has just written a book of her own, she brought one along several weeks ago when we celebrated her bearthday.

My Earth Day
The flowering crab tree in the backyard has bloomed. I begged to be able to climb it before the flowers were all gone. What better day than Earth Day! I had to hurry, because it was getting late.
It was beary high up, but I wasn't scared.

Happy Easter 2
Last week my new friend Bally, a turtle that lives in Spain, sent me a chocolate Easter egg. I have been checking my mailbox for it's arrival.
My mom told me that sometimes it takes a long time for mail and packages to arrive from overseas. I even checked yesterday, on Easter, as it hadn't come on Saturday. I know that there is no mail delivery on Sundays, but I thought maybe

Easter Reserrection Rolls...
This Easter we decided to try baking Resurrection Rolls. Mom thought this would be good way to help all us bears understand about Jesus resurrection and the empty tomb.
Mom wanted to make sure that we understood that Easter is not all about the Easter Bunny, we are celebrating Jesus resurrection.

It's Spring, the ants are out...
Yep! It's Spring alright. Here's the real proof...
do you see what I see? I asked him where his friend was, I'd heard they march two by two. This ant is one
